I got a Speed Ticket, But what does it mean?

Today, I was coming home from work, Pulled into my neighborhood, And as i was going down the street and motocycle cop already had a person pulled over ( A Friend of Mine lol), And he told me to just stop and pull over. I was speeding going 41 in a 25, and admitted yes I was speeding. The cop did not get me on radar, but could tell by seing my car i was speeding. Here is the deal, He said since i was honest and coperative that he wouldnt mark me down for going 16 over, Instead he gave me a citation that is called 'Basic of Speeding'. What does that mean. Its a $120 fine, over what he said was a $160 fine. I plan on paying for it tomorrow, But how badly will this effect my record and insurance?

umm ill be attending UT austin next year and i really want to ride a sport motorcycle to school as a good life experience that i will never forget. (kinda sick of driving a car)

anyways, i will pay everything for my bike and insurance and etc but i also need to convince my parent that i will ride a bike to school. (im asian and asian parent so you get the picture....;;; )

so, i would like to hear any types of advice from yall before i become "free" lol such as having to carry all of my text books, 15 in laptop. well thats my biggest concern because i study a lot, taking hard classes so i will have tons of books that i will need to carry. backpack or saddle bag?

so please share your advice and your personal "knowhow" about carrying a school "stuff" and other things that i should concern about.

Want to ride a big bike, how do i get a license to do so and how much?

im 17 but want a big bike, something like a gsx-r or a kawasaki ninja.. understand i need a provisional, need to do CBT and pass theory test.. but am finding it hard to get a price on the practical motocycle test on a 125cc. Also i know DAS training includes all stages but seems quite pricey.. is it possible to do the practical test individually and would it be cheaper to do so?

Also could someone tell me roughly how much im lookin at for insurance on one of these bikes when restricted to 33bhp, say if the bike was a 600cc?

I got several charges when i got pulled over by officer on motocycle,
I was charged with the following:

Driving uninsured

Failure to carry proof of insurance

Endengering a child passenger.

Im a bit dissapointed because he give me a ticket because my child was in the car yes she was in the back seat backled, If my child was endenger, than why he didnt he do anything about it? Also he did not tow my car away which he should have because i didnt carry proof of insurance. The Fine was around $1000

I am selling a motorcycle to a friend. He is to make monthly payments to me for the next 2 years. After the motocycle is paid in full, I will sign over the title to him.

What are some items to be included in the contract? Below are items I've thought of that need to be clarified before the sale.

how is this motocycle considered totaled?

I took a look at this bike that was almost in perfect condition. i guess it had been stolen and there was a scratch on the swing arm. The owner told me the insurance co. considered the bike totaled. why would this be? it just a scratch, there wasn't any physical damage really the swing arm was bent out of shape in anyway. i just thought it was weird and seeing if anybody could help me out with this. thanks
i made an error, the swing arm WAS NOT bent out of shape
hm, yea i know the insurance co paid it and it then it was recovered a few days later. but he told me that it was because of the scratch on the swing arm. i guess i didn't really ask him anymore details. But i thought totaled meant that something was really wrong with and when i rode it and took a look around it, it was almost perfect.

florida NO FAULT question HELP!!!!!?

my friend was in a accident involving a motocycle. the man was killed but she was not at fault. she has sustained a perminate injury and state farm is not complying with the law suit. and are trying to refuse paying her any wages. she is now disabled as a result from this accident. but my question is.....

her vehicle was still registered to Virginia. does that NO FAULT law still apply. we still had VA tags and was still registered we had not had the chance to change them over. the only thing that was from florida was the insurace because we were trying to get FL tags but we were hunting a decent inurance company and we had only had the insurance 3 weeks at the most.

our car was registered in VA and still had VA tags. why would it apply to us (no fault law)

Can a Frame for a car be fixed? If so how much does it cost? and can i do it myself?

I have a 98' cavalier, and the story is that i was parked outside a staples and someone rammed into my car, no one seen the other car and staples dont use cameras, so my insurance wont pay. i took it to a mechanic and they said that my fame was bent on the side skirt. The car drives smooth and runs great nothing seems to be out of line or anything, i need it done for cosmetic reasons the dent on the fame is almost the size of a tire from motocycle width wide.

Another edit: Read up on my local MSF andI'm probally gonna take it because after reading around, it seems like it will give me a sense of if i want to ride or not and i won't have to take my license test if I take experienced MSF courses.

I was robbed at gunpoint for a brand new motorcycle that I didnt have insurance on. The guy who committed the robbery is now in jail, He was caught before actually haven the oppertunity to do something with the motocycle. Leaving his 20 year old friend with it. He is trying to get mercy from the court so he is telling everything that he knows now. But the only problem is trying to get the guy who actually did something with the motorcycle to talk.
