Question #3:

What light metering technique can you recoming for shooting motobikes with Velvia 50 on sunny day?

Hey guys, I just wanted to hear some recommendations for shooting motocycles on the sunny day using Velvia 50 slide film? So, one thing I understand is that Velvia and slide films in general do not allow of very much variance in exposure, meaning that even /- 1/2 EV can make a bit difference between "correct" and "incorrect" exposure (not considering an artistic nature of a photographer). What would you meter when shooting such bright and flashy subject like a motobike? Gray card? Or would you use a reflective light meter to measure in between highlights and shadows? Would you use a spot meter of entire scene and get an average of readings? I am sure there are multipe way to get it right, and I am sure that some of you having more experience can probably do it without much effort, but for me, as a begining photographer, what would you recommend for this type of shoot?

Thank you
Well, light meters are always morons, it is how they are used that give good results. Sunny sixteen rule is a good rule, but it might not suit some of the ideas that I visualize. And that is not that I don't like meters, ust want to hear from someone with more experience than myself what would be a "better" choice.
This would not be motocross, so the bikes will be positions the way I put them. However, I like what you told me so far and it definitly helps.
Also, if I don't have an incident light meter, I think that gray card on the subject and reflective meter shoul give similar readings, correct?

Question #4:

Are there any PS2 racing games for a 3-year old?

He's a boy - he likes cars, trucks, and motocycles, and he likes them even more when they crash.

He gets the idea of how it works. I have PGR3 and 4 on XBOX 360 and he can more-or-less get around a track - although he could use a little more room in the corners.

Is there something that would be more fun for him and his little Munchkin buddies?

Question #5:

which do you think is better midnight club 3 or need for speed most wanted?

Question #7:

New job ideas needed?

Im in my late 30's and heres my skills.
i can do basic drawing, painting
mechanically minded( can use tools)
can ride and fix motocycles- but dont like the idea of a job as a mechanic
can play the guitar and sing in key- although not X-factor quality

My freinds describe me as artistic .
Ive thought of starting my own buisness but nothing really jumps out at me as a realistic idea that i can start up on pennies.

Ive also thought of starting a band but thats more a hobby than bread money!.
Ive also thought of goign back to college to study something and although im open to concider anything, there isnt anything that really grabs me.. Ive even pondered over hair dressing- yet it nor any other course doesnt seem to make me think- YES thats what i want to do!.
What qualifications i hold are school grade stuff and an NVQ3 in HVAC- but that really desnt interest me, by the time i finished the course i got a job in 'fixturing and design', so the new skills never realy got used
Thanks for the ideas so far :).
Street cleaner lol :)
